Kohli, who has plied his trade for RCB since the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008, has scored 8,605 runs for the franchise in the IPL, along with 424 runs in the now-defunct Champions League T20.
Kohli is the most prolific batter in the IPL and sits fifth in the list of the top run-scorers in all T20s. He has amassed 4,188 runs in T20 Internationals as well, taking his run tally in T20s to 13,434.
The 36-year-old was eventually dismissed for 54 off 30 balls by Avesh Khan in the 12th over of RCB’s 228-run chase. During the knock, Kohli also broke David Warner’s record for most fifties in the IPL by hitting his 63rd half-century in the tournament.
Kohli also holds the record for most fifty-plus scores in the IPL. He has gone past the 50-run mark 71 times in the tournament, having scored 63 fifties and eight centuries.
